Frank Ocean signed a contract with Warner Chappell Music.
Frank Ocean signed a new contract and left Def Jam in August after the release of his visual album Endless after he moved to L.A. The move and the details surrounding it have been discussed at length in the years since it happened. As we can see Frank also being praised for his independence.
It might surprise people that some news has surfaced today. A source ensured the latest news that Frank Ocean has signed a deal with Warner Chappell Music. The deal was kept secret intentionally and was done sometime in the fall. Warner Chappell is a part of Warner Music Group and is a publishing company, not a standard major label. So you can say that Frank is still an independent artist in that case.
Frank is also planning to organize an album campaign seemingly started with ‘DHL’ and ‘In My Room’. It will be so exciting to see how this impacts things the time when Frank decided to put out an album. For more new hip hop songs check over here.
