So, the past week has been a series of hip-hop releases from top 3 artists For Machine Gun Kelly, Tory Lanez, Lil Wayne. And their first week sales projections are here.
Let’s start with Lil Wayne’s release of his Tha Carter V deluxe edition album, which features 10 new songs, taking the total of the album to 33. Even though some of the songs from the new edition have leaked online in the past.
However, there are still cuts which were heard by fans for the first time.
According to HDD, the deluxe album edition is expected to move 15-18k copies in the first week.
Another interesting release is from Machine Gun Kelly and his album Tickets To My Downfall. This is the first time he is releasing a full length album. After experimenting with different genres in the past.
His project is to go for 80-90k unites in the first week, giving it a shot to go at #1 spot this week on Billboard 200.
Then we have Torey Lanez who also dropped a 17 song album called DAYSTAR. Being in a controversial situation with Megan Thee Stallion. His project is set to do a decent number on charts for 40-50k total units with about 2-3k from pure sales.
In comparison, his last project The New Toronto 3 release in April this year moved to64k in the first week.
