This year the rapper and singer release his latest album So Help Me God last night via Def Jam. Featuring Lil Wayne, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Kevin Gates, Mulatto, Lil Uzi Vert, Faiyaz, Chief Keef and more.
Moreover, the Atlanta veteran rapper, told Zane Lowe on Apple Music that he is thinking of going independent. And that his last solo album will be his last with Def Jam probably as 2 Chainz leaving Def Jam.
But it seems like he is considering a new offer from his long time label. However, during a chat with Ebro on Apple Music today, 2 Chainz says that he is still considering leaving. Even though he had planned to depart after this album, he might just stay as the company has offered him an ‘enticing’ deal.
Moreover, he says, “With this one I thought it was going to be an amicable split. And me knowing I still have more in the tank, I was just going to leave and see what God had to offer. And they came back with a few things that was enticing, and you know, we are working on it.”
Also, he added that his original deal with the UMG-run label ended after his 5th album Rap or Go to the League but he was able to re-negotiate for his master following that.
