After going back and forth with the Tour date, The Weeknd pushes back ‘After Hours’ tour to 2022.
The Weeknd rescheduled ‘After Hours’ tour to 2022 in support of the blockbuster album. Also, the move has been done in the wake of the raging Covid-19 pandemic. As we know it, it will still take some time for things to come back to normal. However, the tour was originally set for 2020 but later pushed back to 2021. And now the tour date has been pushed back to 2022.
Moreover, the Canadian superstars releases his After Hours album in March, last year. And despite creating a huge buzz, did not earn a single GRAMMY nomination for this year.
Besides, the rescheduled tour kicks off January 14th in Vancouver with two back to back shows. Apart from North America, it will also travel through all major markets in Europe.
The first concert was announced on April 7, 2022 and first to go on sale for the new UBS Arena in New York. And currently under construction, the $1.1 billion multipurpose arena; is being called “one of the most modern and innovative in the world”.
In addition, The Weeknd will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show this Sunday. He has released a new compilation album called The Highlights to celebrate the same. Last month, he also dropped the video of his latest single ‘Save Your Tears’.
