Venessa Bryant wife of Kobe Bryant finally opens up about Meek Mill’s controversial rap. As Venessa Bryant calls Meek Mill Kobe rap to be insensitive and disrespectful.
In Meek Mill’s rap titled ‘Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe)’ he referenced Kobe Bryant. And the song is in collaboration with Lil Baby. Where Meek raps on the verse, “Yeah and if I ever act, I am going out with my chopper it be another Kobe.”
As, the lyric is a reference to the basketball star’s death last year, Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven other people were killed in a helicopter crash. In Calabasas, California, on January 26,2020.
Moreover, the rap received a lot of backlash from people online for obvious reasons.
Later, after the initial criticizing from fans on the lyrics, Meeks defends himself on social media saying, “internet antics cannot stop me.”
Finally, Venessa Bryant calls Meek Mill and breaks her silence on Instagram. And calls the lyric “insensitive” and “disrespectful.”
Venessa says in her note, “Dear Meek Mill, I find this lone to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period. I am not familiar with any of your music. Bit I believe you can do better than this.” “If you are a fan, fine, there is a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respects and tact.”
